CRONO Bleaching
Solution for electrochemical corrosion prevention that forms a thin, dense and adherent film on the metal surfaces of filters, drums, pipelines and storage tanks in bleaching plants. Once established, it prevents corrosion, no matter if it is general corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, pitting corrosion or galvanic corrosion. Also usage of less noble materials can result in significant savings of the initial capital investment when protecting your bleaching equipment with CRONO technology.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
CRONO Bleaching uses external power to change the electro-chemical status of the protected surface. Electric current is conducted from the electrodes to the protected surface. Feed current is opposite to corrosion current and thus it eliminates corrosion. The current is measured and adjusted by using reference electrodes, according to the changes in corrosion environment, preventing corrosion in all situations.

CRONO Boiler
On-line recovery boiler process tool which helps maximising the production capacity while optimising the recovery boiler operating life. Continuous on-line measurement of corrosion- and plugging indicator variables provides real-time information of the corrosion- and plugging risks allowing the operators to adjust the process towards more efficient direction. The system eliminates dramatic and costly process equipment damages and minimises unnecessary shutdowns. It also supports flexible raw materials usage while indicating the optimum equipment performance.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
CRONO Boiler system measures properties of boiler tube's passive layer and properties for scaling on top of boiler tube through electro-chemical methods. Measurement gives on-line data about boiler tube's condition, rate of corrosion, corrosiveness of scaling, scaling formation, scaling stickiness temperatures and smelting point.

CRONO Cooking
Corrosion prevention system that prevents corrosion in the digester A well-tailored anodic protection system prevents general erosion, galvanic, and pitting corrosion as well as stress corrosion cracking throughout the vessel.
OPERATIING PRINCIPLE
CRONO Cooking stops corrosion by electrically raising the potential of the vessel shell into a passive region where a stable oxide forms a protective, dense adhering film on the digester walls. The corrosive process liquors are unable to penetrate the barrier, and corrosion is virtually stopped. For vessels made of stainless steel, corrosion development takes a longer time but, depending on the stainless steel grade, it will start to penetrate sooner or later.
