SAVCOR FOREST TO SUPPLY AN ERP SYSTEM FOR VAPO TIMBER
Savcor Forest has received an important ERP system order from Vapo Timber. The delivery project of the system was started in the beginning of January and will be completed within a year.
Savcor Forest’s ERP will replace the old existing one and introduce one common system for all three production units in Nurmes, Kevätniemi and Hankasalmi. The system will bring significant advances on three different areas of operations; order-supply chain management, stock management and management reporting, all contributing to increased transparency and benchmarking. Especially real-time, graphic visualisations of stock statuses and advanced data mining options for management reporting are significant improvements. In general Vapo Timber expects a collection of new tools for strategic planning of operations as well as coordination of raw material and sales from this system, says Managing Director Juha Hakala from Vapo Timber.
Continuous development of software at Savcor Forest combined with solid expertise and experience were contributors to this contract. Constant dialogue between Savcor Forest and ERP customers enable user-friendly and versatile development of the system, which in turn ensure also increase quality for all the customers, concludes Matti Perämäki, COO of Savcor Forest.
