SAVCOR FOREST TO DELIVER WOOD ASSORTMENT PRODUCTION PLANNING AND OPTIMISATION SYSTEM FOR LVM
JSC “ Latvijas valsts meži” , (“Latvia’s State Forests”), LVM, has chosen Savcor Forest to deliver a system for planning and optimisation of wood assortment production. The system is implemented to ensure a comprehensive and automatic functionality of production planning and optimisation, timber flow optimisation, logging and timber transportation capacity planning, and modelling of scenarios of different production alternatives.
The system will support the timber production and delivery planning processes through defining and optimising of harvesting plans for a certain period, service capacity planning and selling assortment volume optimisation. It will also enable optimisation and modelling of the timber products delivery flow within different space and time profiles, including corrections and upgrading of existing plans and calculations. The overall objective is to achieve an advanced level of optimisation based on accurate information and to support the production and delivery processes with an improved information system.
LVM chose Savcor Forest based on the company’s experience in delivering IT services for forestry sector as well as for Savcor’s existing Zenith software. Savcor Forest will deliver the software in cooperation with Remsoft Inc.
