Outokumpu awards a Wedge contract
Outokumpu has awarded a Wedge contract for their Tornio ferrochrome operations. Wedge Process Diagnostics system will be used for collecting more information on the events in the melting process and improving process performance.
Outokumpu produces ferrochrome from the concentrates produced in the company’s own chrome mine. Mine is located in Kemi and is the only chrome mine in the EU. The ferrochrome production capacity rises up to 530 000 tonnes serving global markets.
